Eleven hours west of Brisbane is a small town called Eromanga. With a population of around 35, and famous for being Australia’s ‘furthest town from the sea’, you’d be forgiven for not having heard of it.
We delivered acoustic ceiling panels to this remote community for the first stage of the new Eromanga Natural History Museum. The incredibly remote museum exists on account of a significant paleontological discovery. Several of Australia’s largest dinosaurs have been unearthed, and the area is being heralded by scientists as the most exciting and prolific dinosaur site in Australia. Architectus was appointed to design the first stage to share the Museum’s activities and collection with the public and to provide research facilities for staff and visiting researchers.

Our
Contribution

Myee Collective supported this project through coordinated procurement, including supplier vetting, sourcing of specialist materials and ensuring all documentation met compliance requirements across fire performance, acoustics and sustainability. Our team worked closely with project stakeholders to streamline procurement and align outcomes with the community.

What We Procured

  • Acoustic wall & ceiling systems
  • Timber and hybrid linings
  • Fibre cement panels
  • Architectural finishes
  • Metal, aluminium or screening elements
  • Fit-out elements
  • Specialist or custom materials
Most materials were manufactured through our partner network, drawing on more than 50 years of Australian experience in engineered acoustic and architectural systems.

Technical Requirements Supported

The project required the following:
  • Fire ratings and documentation
  • Acoustic performance requirements
  • ESG, sustainability or Green Star/ISCA criteria
  • Accessibility, durability or moisture resistance requirements
  • Panel layouts, prototyping, or pre-installation coordination
Myee Collective coordinated the documentation required for Group fire ratings, acoustic performance, sustainability certifications and delivery sequencing to support project timelines.

Community
Outcomes

This project reflects Myee Collective’s commitment to strengthening communities — Indigenous, business and Australian. Through transparent procurement pathways, engagement with trusted suppliers and support for Indigenous participation targets, this project delivered outcomes that extended beyond construction and into long-term community benefit.
